Lessons In Grace and Elegance

There is no such thing as an ugly woman – there are only the ones who do not know how to make themselves attractive’ - Christian Dior

I currently reading this book Things I Wish My Mother Had Told Me by Lucia Van Der Post and I think this is an amazing book! It’s kind of a woman guide book how we live our life womanly.. Here's another lovely quote 'There will always be glamorous women who declare that they do nothing special to maintain their trim, attractive bodies; a zest for living is what keeps you young, they proclaim. I do not envy them; I just don't believe a word they say' - Luciana Avedon.

Not every baby girl born in this world is blessed with fully knowledge equipped mother, including me. Talking about fashion, my mom loves fashion, but in her own way. She likes simple branded stuff, as long as people can tell the brand, she’ll buy it. Three outfits that always make her go nuts are jeans, polo and tailored shirt. But when we ask her about dresses, floral skirts, she just walks away.

Beauty and make ups, here comes the problem, she understand nothing. She didn’t even yell to me to wear UV cream every time I go out. Well, I am not saying that she’s not pretty; it is just that she has no problem with her skin. In her fifties, she only has fine wrinkle lines and her skin is naturally moist to slightly oily without pimples.

This book enlightens us how we women should take care about ourselves, and noted it is not cheap. It’s not only about fashion, love and food, but this book tells us that by living our balance happy life.
